ABOUT US
Who We Are
In New Mossley Presbyterian Church we are a family of believers who have responded to the wonderful news of the gospel and love our Saviour, Jesus Christ. As individuals, and a congregation, we strive to put God first in our lives and recognise that even though we have many differences we have been united by Christ. This unity is shown on a weekly basis in our worship services when we seek to bring glory to God through our praise, prayer and hearing from His Word. These services are a priority in church life.
Our Mission
Our mission is to share the love of Christ with all in our community. We are very much a community focused church and have a strong love for where God has placed us, in New Mossley. We recognise that we are not Christians because we are “better” than anyone else but because of the good news that Jesus has died for our sins, it is that good news and hope that we want all people to know. The way in which we do this is through making known God’s Word, the Bible is central to everything we do as we believe it to be the Word of God and how we will see lives changed. However, we also seek to share the love of Christ through playing an active role in our community and using our resources for the benefit of all.
What We Believe
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, and as such we hold to the reformed faith. We believe that the Westminster Confession of Faith as well as the larger and shorter catechisms explain what the Bible teaches on certain points of doctrine and worship.
